Keith Meenan, President of Glascock & Meenan Insurance Agency presents Pat Hassler, Chair, Calvert County Fire and Rescue Presidents Council with a $5000.00 check as Mark Carrico, Treasurer, St. Leonard VFD looks on. The donation is to be used for a Memorial Fund for families of fallen firefighters. At the September 11th dinner meeting, Meenan thanked the members of the Association for their service to the community.
The Calvert County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Memorial, which is located on Broomes Island Road in Calvert County, was developed by the Calvert County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association to recognize and honor the services of fire and rescue personnel for their dedicated efforts in protecting and serving the citizens of Calvert County. This Memorial is maintained and overseen by a Memorial Committee appointed by the Calvert County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association President and led by the Calvert County Volunteer Fire & Rescue Association Chaplain who conducts an annual service to memorialize those who have passed during the year.
